NOT QUITE THE FIRST DAY....

A few waders; Sharp tailed Sandpipers + Red necked Stints + Great Knots


When one starts a birding trip in Cairns high on the list is to get to the Esplanade. Despite the development and crowds and noise it still remains a good place to see a variety of birds and waders in particular.

There were other species on the Esplanade other than migratory waders of course;
